S IL | Ray I'm not answering your questions directly, but more of a comment. Anyone looking at 1-3 yr time frames in the stock market is gambling, yet it's panned out well these last several years in this massive bull market. Many of the questions come from people who are looking to get started investing, which with smaller amounts at risk plus dollar-cost averaging I'm sure they will be ok. However, if a person over the age of say 50 who has a substantial amount of money in stocks.....I'd be very very afraid. There have been multiple 10 year time periods that lost money through history, and I believe the easy money is about to end. And the trigger for a market reset could be outside forces which the market will use as an excuse to do this reset (it would be healthy actually). FYI I do have a horse in this race. | |
