I question the need for a 6 way tailgate on a pickup. Just more expensive complicated junk to wear out. I agree if they built the box (and whole truck) a foot lower and put an 8 foot box on, (like they had years ago), I'd like them a lot better. Still running my 81 GMC. I can climb into the box over the side if I have too. Not likely on a new one without a step ladder.
