Sounds like the CD in your kit is no good. I would ask for a new one. It’s asking you what to do with it because it sees no info on it.

I believe 18650’s are the same batteries that are used to create battery packs for Milwaukee and Dewalt tools. I have a very nice Fenix headlamp that has the light at the front (of course) and the battery at the back. It holds one 2600 mAh 18650 battery.

18650’s are extremely common and with good reason. They are a dense source of rechargeable energy. That is why Dewalt and Milwaukee use them.


Heed the warning written on the battery in the pictures below. My limited understanding of Lithium Ion batteries is that they are only safe if they are not over OR under charged. So it’s important that the load has something that prevents them from being under-charged and the charger is quality and prevents them from being over-charged.
