Subject: RE: 401K vs saving for farmland

20 Miles West of Indianapolis Indiana
My company will match me the 42% up to the federal limit. This year it was $18,500 I believe and next year I thought I was told it was upped to $19,000.

This is why I’m asking. If I was to contribute $19,000 into my 401K I’d have slim pickings on any excess cash to stow away in the mayonnaise jar.

If I was able to put $19,000 away that would be a nice $8,000 from the company. But like I said it’s tough to save and invest both. Plus have money to help make the current land payment if things on the farm don’t go perfect.
