For here, it seems like we need to wait till the end of May-early June to start planting beans. With our summer heat it seems like we need to be that late in order to get past the worst of the summer for the crop to finish up. We can grow some really nice plants if we plant earlier in May but then we have a big plant to support through the dry time of the summer.
