Flour weevils are not uncommon in cupboards and cabinet stored flour and cereals. https://www.pestwiki.com/flour-weevils-facts-rid/

I have been eating steel cut oats for breakfast lately and I like them better than regular oatmeal, but they take longer to cook. So I cook a large batch and store the cooked oatmeal in the refrigerator . Each morning I just dip out what I need and warm it up a little in the microwave and then add some raisins, yogurt and a little milk.
