Get a prenup if you have assets. Prenups are not overcome easily and any increase in value of land remains yours, not community property. That’s just plain wrong.
Approach it gently and blame it on your attorney or your LLC operating agreement, or whatever. Don’t blame it on family. All items apply to both equally, so her assets are equally protected.
If she says no, then nut up and find someone else. There are 3.5 billion women in this world and not a single one of them is worth as much as a quarter section of prime Iowa farmland (unless already kin.) Marriage is a full contact blood sport in this country, and all the laws are written in the wife’s favor.
