Near-north Ontario, French River | In all fairness... you have no idea what your G-G-G-grandpa would do. Remember he left his home in Germany for what he hoped was a better life ( how could he possibly know for sure at the time) in America. If he held the same emotional attachment to his home, as you do to yours, he never would have left Germany right?? I don't begrudge anyone for selling and retiring/relocatiing, nor holding on... its all a deeply personal decision so to claim that a person doesn't have a sense of pride just because they would choose to sell, is condescending. It could be the best move of their lives, and good benefit many future generations to come. |
