Good point. I'm not picking on the farmers, we are all trying to make a living with what nature throws at us.
I'm used to hearing similair things thrown at me, since I farm too far West according to the real grain farmers.  
Just thinking bigger picture, society is willing to sacrifice precious resources such as topsoil, yet is at war with CO2 and loves to talk about sustainability, yet as long as food is plentiful and cheap, they are blissfully unaware of issues like this. 

As for my soil, all no till, buried under snow all winter,flat and high rainfall area, so no soil blowing or running off.
