I read a recent post on this "subject" down the page a ways.  I have second hand knowledge on this subject.  In my opinion... reliable second hand knowledge, but second hand knowledge, never-the-less.

The information I have with regards to ZFS's involvement with Boerson is vastly different than what was discussed in that post.  Vastly different.   The information I have paints ZFS in a much better light than how others are portraying ZFS's involvement with anything related to Boerson's.  But like I said, it's second hand knowledge.  For that reason, I'm uncomfortable to share that information.   And even if I had first hand knowledge, I still would not want to share the information.  To get involved in these types of conversations is too much like gossiping and/or leads to gossip.   It ain't right, in my opinion.

As such, I would just like to encourage all of us to take a step back and ask ourselves how productive these kinds of conversations are... whether they have to potential to unduly damage someone's reputation, and perhaps maybe we should just restrain ourselves altogether from getting involved with them.   Something to think about.

I totally agree with you, but gossiping seems to be a human activity and one many people participate in, either creating or reading......

Myself included.

Something went wrong, and it is of value to try to learn from that.

Details and facts are typically hard to do,e by in cases like this. Everyone waves a magic wand of smiles, good cheer, and silence, and carry on, nothing to see here....

But folks living in that area have to deal with the situation. As a member in several coops that are CHS based, I have to deal with the situation.

In the past we have seen how some folks use these situations to gain even more by misbehaving, after they did poor planning and fell in the hole they created....

Kind of important for those of us in the Ag world to keep pressing, and finding out what is going on.

Of course there isn't much out there in such a new turn if events, it will take time. Mist of us know there is a lot of 3rd hand speculation hpgoung on.

But over time, we really should know what is up with large bankrupt or nearly bankrupt farm operations merging and continuing to go belly up. And why and how our business partners will make such large bad loans and what recourse there is on that.

It -is- our business someday.
