Subject: RE: Early planting

Butler County,Iowa
I don't much rather have my corn up in 5 days than it sitting in ground for 3 weeks.
Last year planted April 23-24. Got rained out till the 5th. The corn i planted 5-9. Had picket fence stand and yielded 230+. The corn planted the 23-24 took three weeks to emerge and was 10-12% stand issues. Stand wasn't near as good. I almost replanted it. But decided not too. . Yield ahowed ot too on early planted.
I'm very happy with our seed is still in the bag.
I just really hope
Corn that is planted already has a good cold germ. This is very cold rain and extended time to be in the 30-40s.
