Subject: RE: Early planting

mascoutah, IL
These forecasts are very unpredictable. Had a chance of rain here 9 of 10 days from Easter on. Got a quarter inch total. We've been done since Monday. Some in the area were done before that and planting beans. It was also 75-85+ for 10 days. In my book that is plenty warm. The local forecast is saying 2-4 inches this weekend while the maps are showing 8. It's been pretty dry here. I think most of the corn will be ok with 2-3 inches. In this area many years the window is very small. Usually is too wet and April turns to June in a hurry.
