Subject: RE: JD 4995 w/ V10 conditioner

Pasco WA.
I also tried the new MacDon rotary before I bought a NH HW 365 Total disaster trying to cut alfalfa. Like to never got those wads dried out. When JD came out with the rotary they sold several locally. Almost every one of them has been traded in on a Hesston or a NH. The JD just cannot lay out a smooth even swath and thats the secret to drying. NH has owned the market here untill recently. Hesston has made great strides. I seriosly considered buying a Hesston but ended up buying the NH HW 365. The tractor unit is where the NH realy shines. Go drive both in a rough field and you will see for yourself. My reccomendation is for you to try both the Hesston and the NH in your own field. They are the 2 best choices.
