I must confess to not studying Nebraska test specs all that closely. I think Dutch is on to something though when he says that the Nebraska test is not exactly real world. I think Deere powershifts have more parasitic loss to them than most people care to admit.

Part of my comment comes from the fact that so often you hear of guys complain about Deere fuel efficiency in the real world. Not only on this site, but also friends of mine. One friend recently bought an 8400 Deere. Compared to the Genesis he was running, his biggest complaint is hands down the fuel economy. He says it is very much noticeable. Not HP for HP, but field for field work done.

NVDave, I think you were telling me a similar story about your two Deeres when I visited you last month, correct?
