Subject: well it appears to me

Red River Valley
that total Oct volume in the Dec. month alone was 5.9 million contracts @ 5000 per contract means that it took 29 billion bushels of corn volume to change the per acre payout on corn by less than $35.00 per acre

edit : that was total volume in corn so they only had to deal with 29billion bu. to fix the game and short change the farmer out of $35.00 per acre but then would it not be 75% of that

seems like a no brainer -- of course I did all of my math in about 10 min. so it could all be wrong

it also appears to me that harvest must be done for some because they have a lot of time on their hands LOL

EDIT : the $35.00 per acre is probably less than USDA subsidizes most corn policy's
