This thing has Ag Leader design all over it. They evidently work closer together than I thought.

I hope they haven't inadvertantly made an in house competitior for new Insight sales because I have a small fortune invested in the things. Those who already have Insights will likely still prefer to work off that platform. I know I will.

AL and Trimble are working hard to ensure there will be a two-tiered systems approach. The lower cost but effective package unveiled today, or the high zoot, lots more expensive Insight system with associated components. If it was't for the Yield Monitor capability the Insight would be a dead duck IMHO.

It's unfortunate we can't integrate the EZ steer into the Insight system like the Autopilot - easier. We're still stuck buying the EZ guide and I, for one, don't like the EZ guide. Give me a Trimble 332 with the Ez-Steer and I'm all yours. That won't happen of course because the Autopilot is a cash cow for Trimble.

My guess would be that dollars and drought induced budgets will win in the end on this one unless AL/Trimble decides to improve the Insights compatibility or lower it's premiums on it's add ons.

Or maybe I just need a nap.
