I can see the threads in the housing and they are shot. Trouble is the old bolt vibrated so much that it ruined the threads in the aluminum housing. They are just worn down and distorted. I know a new bolt would never go in without breaking out the aluminum housing. Implement dealer said to use it this season and then bring it in this winter and probably get a new pump housing to fix it. Sounds like a couple thousand dollars. It must not be a good way to brace the pump. Steel and aluminum just don't mix.
