Just try a longer bolt-a lot of times the hole is tapped deeper than the original bolt, & there may be good threads on down the hole. If you can get the right tap, clean the hole out & use some loctite like the other guys said, it might get you by...use washers to get to the max. depth possible & not bottom out the bolt.
