"Cash follows the spreads.."

"what basis told them to do.."   ???


Since basis is the difference between the Cash and Futures..  and "Cash follows the spreads.."  How did basis get so out of whack??

NOLA is +110 to +150 which is moving higher.. vs a couple of days ago..  The board has come up.. some.. but DTN's National Cash Corn Index is holding pretty firm at +103.. or $5.87 as of the close yesterday vs Sept at $4.8375 and the Dec at $4.755.. and we are still a couple of weeks off yet on harvest.  Locally I still have 17 pages of bids on DTN above $6.00  up from 7 a few days ago.. just under 400 bids..


(a)Maizeing.. weren't you the one saying.. that holders needed to unload inventory before this "Cliff" crash in prices to the board?


What happened to those guys who sold a normal basis for fall delivery on futures a couple weeks ago.. ahead of this "cliff?" 


Sept is still a dollar below the cash market... Is it going to go into delivery that way?
