Interesting the kind of replies one gets when he posts something like this.

1. for those who said slobber - incorrect

2. for those who asked why it was idling all night - that's really none of your concern now is it?

3. the fact of matter is, she's putting engine oil out the stack . . . and the source is not the turbo

4. waiting for the determination as to what the culprit is this morning - hoping against hope that it is just valve stem seals.

5 oil analysis 2500 miles ago did not show any abnormal wear metals.


The number one and two kind of go together. Most diesels will "slobber" when they load up on fuel, as they will do when they "idle all night".

I don't remember the original post, but I can understand why most of these things were mentioned.
