For RTK, I think you are on the right approach with either Trimble or Autofarm. I can't see that the 2wd vs MFWD would be anymore of a issue with autosteer than it is with manual steer. If you manual steer, you may have to steer a little more aggressivly with a 2wd, but why can't the autosteer do the same thing? I would bet that if the front wheels can get steering traction that the 2wd would be MORE responsive than the MFWD. I planted for years with a 4630 and an 8 row 30" planter on cultivated land with saddle tanks and I know it was more responsive than the 55 series MFWD that I use now. If your dealer isn't supportive of the install on your tractor, I would find another Trimble dealer, or check into Autofarm. They are both very good systems.
