Subject: Weakest Link in the chain!!!!

Burgessville, Ontario
In the perfect world of GPS and RTK, 4wd is recommended and preferred by dealers. They are not feeding you BS! However with that being said, it all depends on what you are planning to do with hands free steering and what accuracy you want to maintain in various soil conditions and how your tractor is ballasted and and and ...
How much traction does your front axle have? It all comes down to common sense, do you need the 4wd to pull your tractor back on line or are conditions good enough that 2 wd will guide you back to the line. It would pretty discouraging to buy a RTK system only to have the system fail because the tractor can not properly steer to an AB line! Your margin of error will probably increase with a 2wd.
A good gps system is only as good as the weakest link in the chain - you decide what is the weakest link.

Thanks
Paul
