Subject: Re: Parent Teacher Conferences

I was that kid in school. Because school is boring. Relate homework to farm life somehow. I went through school with 100% scores on tests and closer to 0% on homework. Always just above a passing average. Usually I had the material down the first time the teacher said it and got real bored and distracted while the teacher re explained it and beat it to death. By the time homework came I saw no point in it and spent time outside applying math and other things to real life. Like in the shop with dad. Made me more interested in learning stuff to impress dad with when working. I was youngest kid in my class graduated when I was seventeen and finally got to start real life. I am not saying that I was right. I should have done my homework, but I am just saying if he is picking the stuff right up and getting bored, one more year of the same stuff might be worse. He might just need a challenge
