Embarrass WI | I didn't take time to read all the other responses, but I can speak from experience. I was born 11-13, and my mother sent me to school. I was smart enough, but my emotional development was always a year behind. You child would be better off being held back and being one of the older kids in his class instead of the youngest. Any teasing from being held back now will be very short-lived--much, much less than if you had to hold him back in 5th grade.
Do what is best for the kid, and IMO that is to be more developed in his grade level. | |
