Listen to the teachers!! There is a huge difference in 1 year of age at a young age. Young kids these days have to know A LOT more than we ever did at the same age. Mine was six when starting kindergarten best decision looking back. Better to get him on track now and maybe be "overprepared" for 1st grade than struggling.
