It's interesting that late fall 2011 a retailer friend of mine showed me some high resolution imagery (not sure if it was NDVI or what it actually was) that he had acquired for the sake of comparing aerially applied urea vs applied by a dry box on a 4930 as he was curious on how they compared....the 4930 had left streaks every pass and the aerially applied was uniformly dark green with the end rows being even darker green as trim passes were made by the airplane on a best effort basis....the streaks from the ground rig were from driving slightly too wide and not a uniformity of spread issue but it is not accurate at all to assume that all aerial applications are consistently poor....that's a mighty wide brush...
