I have similar base saturations of 25-35% base saturation of Mg, or at least I did. I've put on 2 tons/acre of gypsum since those soil tests. Once we pull tests this spring, I hope to see that those saturations have gone down. Just from the physical difference in the soil, I'm convinced they have. But to your question, yes, I have seen them change on other farms. Attached are soil analyses from a farm in central Indiana. The field was sampled in 2005 and then again in 2011. 3 applications of gypsum were applied at 1 ton/acre in between those sampling dates. Base saturation of Mg went down and Ca went up.
