i can see how that would be hard on soil... especially micros that are not replenished... but how does that correlate with O.M. loss? i'm not very educated in soil fertility, but am trying to become more knowledgeable. 

also, i have seem some removal charts for grains, specifically corn and soybeans... there are commonly charts to show how much is removed by grain harvest, which correlates with the numbers you have below. but there is also uptake to raise a crop. does that mean we need to over fert a farm the first year we farm it to make up for total up take, or am i overthinking it???
