There used to be subsidies for the purchase of no-till equipment,maybe 10 years ago or better? And as far as cover crops they are becoming more and more in vogue . Land should never be bare, is what I heard once 30 years ago. More fall tillage in the last few years to enable stale seed bed planting, but erosion is the consequence. BTO are mostly the culprit of this to get their work done.
