NE SD | Though I would be more excited when 5.00 corn came. A couple yrs ago would have only dreamed of it. Now it hardly seems like a big deal. Have a good friend of mine that buys baby bull calves and feeds them to market. he does farm some bu tend up buying a lot of corn also. This is going to break him real fast. He said he is not going to watch all his equity go down the drain in a couple years and will likely go to town to get a job for now. As a grain farmer I almost feel guilty when he gives me this story. Says you guys have gov support for low prices.
I just can't help but think we are going to lose demand here at this level real fast.
It sure brings out the greed in neighbors for more land also. It is totally out of control here.
