Jim, how can you pervert the text of the 2nd amendment enough to conclude that it does not mean to provide the right to keep and bear arms similar to what would be carried by any infantryman, MP, or any specialist not working in a confined space?  That would be an M4.  What kind of a "well regulated militia" does not have modern weapons, and what exactly would be the purpose of a 'well regulated militia' armed with spears and sticks?  

If you think that the 2nd amendment is wrong and should not exist, you are free to hold that opinion, but it does exist and I think it is silly for a professional man of a logical sciece to claim to support it while acting as if he is not able to read English and interpret it as it is written.
