Thanks for the help guys, I am sure compression is ok and the injectors themselves are ok. I know what you mean about the engine not cranking fast enough it is sometimes like that during winter. This problem is the same whether hot or cold, some times are not as bad as others. The smoke is not white, I just think there is not enough of it. The lift pump is new and works well, I also changed the non return valve.
I think Ron may have the answer with the worn rotor and head in the pump worn, since he says the symptoms sound the same!!!! Thanks for all your help!! It looks as though I am going to have to spend some money now!!!!!!
