Thats kinda cool. I do wish to get something powerful enough that I can look at soil and plant tissue with good clarity.



Soil is actually large under a microscope as well as basic plant material. Now if you want to look at chlorophyll that will be tough to get a good one under 1k, microscopes are EXPENSIVE. the wife works with some at her job and the ones for soil examination is a standard stereo microscope, a good one can be picked up for around 400+ bucks. If you want to take pictures expect to pay 1.5k+.

As far as brands she said there are very few bad ones when you get up in price, most of the "consumer" grade ones are less than 300 and much above that they are all very competitive according to her.
