Subject: Re: Increasing bean yields

McLeod County, MN
He said he wants a 1.6 bean. I would plant the 16RA02 from Stine then. Stay away from the Pioneer beans, and yes planting early is really going to help you. I planted early this year. May 1st to be exact on what little beans I had. One farm made 65 with 28% hail damage (Wensman 3200). and the other went 45bpa with 58% hail damage (Kruger k2 1902). If you want a nice offensive bean that has kicked the ass of everything the last couple years plant the Kruger k2 1901 bean. Look at it in the first trials. On top year after year.

Oh, I forgot to mention I used to be 100% pioneer. I never broke 50 in 6 years with them and used to plant around May 10-15. Planted a little early and went with RR2s and shattered the old high from the P beans by 16bpa, and thats with plenty of hail and LOTS of glyphosate resistant weeds.

Going 100% corn next year cause the chemical program for beans is just getting too spendy.
