Subject: Re: Fatal truck/bicycle accident

Well Chad, I deleted and rewrote some of what I started that post with. Kind of a sore subject, there was an insane amount of money spent on dedicated bike trails in this county and I still see bikes in places where I hate to deal with traffic when I'm sitting pretty securely inside a 20,000 pound tractor. All I can deduct is that they are extremely poor at mathematics, because if somebody pops over a hill and has one second to decide between the 200 pound bicycle going 15 mph in the same direction or the 50,000 pound rock truck in the oncoming lane, Vegas odds don't favor the 2 wheeler winning very often.
