Where we ran yesterday I could show you just the opposite of what you're saying.....my strips are 80-90bu+ of full tilled/baled COC......
Think about this.....Last fall I was outstripping(full Fert load) 1 pass ready to plant....
Across the fence the neighbor was running same size tractor pulling a 1/3 of the width.....going the same speed.
When I was done, I was done......they in turn had to broadcast P&K, knife NH3,and run the finisher.....
We did side by side root pits this summer..... Mine had roots in every inch of a 6ft wall, theirs had a shelf @3",8",12" that the roots turned..... No such evidence of root turning in mine.......
With that said, I'm not advocating any one practice.........I'm trying to do what works,I my given area..... |
