10 tons is roughly 200 cubic feet of soil (it can vary a lot, that's a ballpark number). If you spread 200 cubic feet of soil over an acre that's a layer about a 1/16th of an inch.
Doesn't sound like much. But that means losing an inch of soil every 16 years. 5 inches in 80 years. 10 in 160 years.
Why didnt I go away from notill sooner?
