E.Central MN | I can remember when we didn't buy any meat from the grocery store, let alone buy any ribeye steaks. The consumer will adjust to higher meat prices for a few years until the supply of corn increases enough that livestock #'s get back to affordable levels again. It will be tough on the livestock producers, no doubt about it. But its not as though we're facing a famine in the near term. I sure hope we don't see this drought continue for another year though. | |
