Ontario | and he has been calling it pretty good for the last 3 years. (Not perfect, but very good.)
He is watching things, and pointing them out, as they happen. Especially countering all the bear arguements that would have cash croppers grow the crop, and then sell it below COP.
You are not "owed a crop" is very true. About time some start to get that through their heads.
Those who think they are, better realize how much risk each and every a cash crop farmer puts outside. (Right Now... Every dollar invested is sitting outside, and vulnerable to whatever the weather will do.) If this year is not an example of the risk, then there will never be one!
Mizzou also challenged since the day USDA came out with: 96 million acres, 164bu/ac yield, 14 billion bushel crop. No one can dispute that!
It takes a lot of someone to post almost every day, and keep looking at the markets. In that effort Mizzou is doing a fine job. (I certainly do not have the time to do what he does.)
As far as when he will be wrong? Is everyone robots or something? Think about what he says and make your own decisions!
I'm glad someone said this year: 170 bu is that really attainable?
(When you have to deal with so many bears pawing away, its going to get sharp sometimes. You can call it arrogant if you want!)
Call him lucky if you want! YOU HAVE TO BE GOOD TO BE LUCKY, AND LUCKY TO BE GOOD! (They go hand in hand...)
