Silver Lake, Kansas | Mrs. Farmer here once again the views are mine and not Mr. Farmer's.
Self anger can be a cause of suicide and should not be a reason to consider a person is bound for hell. The past year of life changing events in my life has taught me a great deal about the lack of kindness, understanding, and compassion that exists in our world. A few people have an abundance of kindness, understanding and compassion, a few more have some, but often fail to use them. Many more are likely to ignore the person and pretend they have no concern about it. Until you have walked in the other persons shoes I can guarantee, you have NO Clue. It is not our place to judge the rightness or the wrongness of his action, only God has that right. We have a responsibility to support his family and friends. At a distance you pray for them to work through the anger, hurt, confusion, guilt so they can come to some level of understanding and acceptance. Up close in the family and friends, listen to them and don't talk, help with work if needed and be kind, and compassionate.
I can recommend a book When Christians Get Wrong by Adam Hamilton. One strong recommendation is Never tell someone "It's God's will." | |
