In any ag sector, we all can choose to put however much of our income/profit back into the business as we choose. I really think the problem with your situation Pat, is that you are at the stage of life where you would like the "smell the roses" and take some money out of the business instead of sinking it all back in. 2009 took that opportunity away from many producers in the dairy industry. I have a lot more years ahead of me to recoup the losses from that one year. You do not.

I learned a lot in 2009 that changed the way I look at most every decision I make on the dairy. One thing I learned is a positive attitude usually brings positive decisions that yield positive results. Hard to get the end result you would like with the wrong start to that equation.
