Subject: RE: Capital intensive

Columbia Basin, Ephrata, WA
Headlocks, parlor equipment, manure separators, and a lot of other installed items at a dairy can be sold off like a used skid steer. One of the biggest assets on a dairy is the herd itself, and they can be liquidated very quickly, and at times without the value reduction due to use on a dairy that a skid steer would experience. I'm also not quite seeing what makes dairy so exclusively capital intensive.

FWIW, we have some old hog buildings that are now every bit as worthless as an old dairy barn.
