| Thanks for the great response. We just got rid of a 1988 WW steel trailer. It would have taken more to repair walls, floor, and stringers than it was worth. I found a fool who wanted to part with a good deal of cash in trade for the trailer and I sent it down the road.
I hired a neighbor to haul fats for me this summer. Worked out pretty good, but sometimes I want to do things when I want to, not wait until it works out for someone else.
I think that old steel trailer cost me around $200/yr so it was pretty cheap, but it was crude. If they wanted to make a hole for wiring in the frame, they just used a cutting torch and blew a hole in it! The latches were solid, but weren't as smooth as they could be.
I think your cost was pretty close to the price quoted to me by a local dealer. They'd knock off the freight charge if I picked it up myself.
