Kaukauna WI | I myself have a hard time (not trusting) buying hamburger now and I sell cows.
I could ask around at where I work (in the city) and I will bet you no one knows what I'm talking about. I tried asking a few weeks ago and no one heard of "pink slime". The only thing my co-workers seem to worry about is HORMONES. They are always bent out of shape about them, in beef/milk/hogs/chickens, what have you. They do not realize just how many hormones farmers use and I will not tell them, either. I wonder myself if lutalyse or gonadatropelin (sp?) affects us at all. They think it's all about bST. It's not. Consumers are so far removed from ag.
