NC Iowa
We bought an old anhydrous bar, changed a few things, added a few things and now have a nice 12 row machine. Bought all of our shank row units from Davis Equipment out of Johnston Iowa and made a nice machine ourselves. Used a Gandy air box for a while, grew tired of it and bought a very well built Montag cart and plastic box. We pull the 12 row 20 inch machine in bean stubble or corn stalks, 6-8 inches deep in river bottom black dirt or clay hillsides with a JD 4640 at 6mph.

If you really desire to try it or make it work there are cheap ways to get into it. Don't give up on the first problem, stay with it and make it work for you, it will be rewarding to your bottom line.

Good luck
