| Well stated! Yep, it's an investment. You have to spend money to make money, right? Look what opening up a file format has done for Adobe (pdf), Microsoft (xls, doc), ESRI (shp), yep they are industry standards and because of this it is very easy for all of us to share and open up those files anywhere. If your file format is adopted as the industry standard you likely have the most control over it. If every does this and gets the support of this standards group will have an advantage but over it will be big win for the us users. | |
