Subject: Changing satellite

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
More than likely the Raven folks had you change from WAAS satellite #122 to #135. The WAAS satellite #122 was moved from the Atlantic to the Pacific in an effort to provide more complete coverage for aircraft.

The new satellite #135 is still to the West but would appear higher in the sky. This new satellite is not fully functional and is in a test mode. We have customers who changed their setting from #122 to #135 and sometimes back again depending on the day and their location.

When #135 becomes fully functional aircraft will have two choices. We on the ground here in the Midwest will probably use #135 exclusively.
