I am don't have enough experience with the InSight to comment on it, but what you are trying to do is very easy to accomplish using SiteMate and EasiSuites.  I think you could do the same thing with the InSight and ES.  You just log the coverage with the InSight then you have the machine configuration in ES and it breaks the log apart when you import it.  You can have infinite numbers of components and component widths.  It is no problem to do in ES at all.
