Curious how far along your wheat is. If 15 inches, I presume it is jointed which would put the head maybe 8 inches above ground? Out here towards the middle of the state it ranges from just jointing to being a week away from jointing. Always was told not to worry until wheat joints. After that check how cold for how long and roll the dice.
