Woodbury county | This drop in prices will undoubtedly make some of the undecided wonder if it is going to be worth the hassle and increasing fertilizer and seed prices to go all out with extra acres of corn. I have a lot of river bottom ground that has been flooded and it will be a while before all the wet spots are dry enough to plant. Most of the river bottom was suppose to be mostly corn this year, but probably will be changed to beans unless we get an extended period of dry weather without any precipitation. My seed man said switching from corn to beans is not problem......switching from beans to more corn is a real problem for him.....! Heard an anlyst this afternoon after the markets closed say the decline in corn could go another 30-40 cents lower. The perception must be that the report coming the end of this month is going to be negative. | |
